Training

Nonviolence through the body,
NVC beyond words…

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisite: none

With and without words… Release physical, mental and emotional tensions, rediscover movement, anchor yourself in a space of peace, develop harmonious interactions with others.

For whom?

For all those who want to experience a deep renewal and free up their relationships with their families, their circle of friends, their professional or social life, the natural world… A course with no pre-requisites, all exercises have several variations for everyone to progress at their own pace and contribute to the group.

Approaches : NVC and Alexander Technique

These are two approaches to relating to oneself, others and the world: both aim for a cooperative posture that is both anchored and flexible. Both explore physical sensations. NVC pays particular attention to emotions… AT to the way in which they are embedded in bodily patterns. NVC explores human needs and our creativity in responding to them… AT encourages reencoding these new possible responses. Together, the two provide words and practices to ground us in a posture of peace.

Four main themes:

  1. Experiencing deep relaxation: When I release tension, I stop judging. At peace with myself, I regain the right tone;
  2. Breaking out of reactivity: When faced with a situation, my whole person (body, head, heart, etc.) reacts immediately. When I stop, I become aware of what’s important for me and for others. I rediscover the choice of response;
  3. Living in a dynamic balance: When I let myself be moved by sensations, emotions and thoughts, I connect with life in myself, in others and in the world;
  4. Seeking interdependence in relationships: I can’t change the other person, but I can be responsible and autonomous in my response. I can also listen to the other person. This changes the relationship.

Teaching approach:

Through experience and awareness arising from the needs of the participants: individual or group non-verbal body practices, verbal practices, role-playing and enacting situations, debriefing, input.

Testimonials

BRILLIANT. Great all-round insights.

Aurélia

Seeing how NVC is experienced in the body is enlightening: knowing where you are in your body to listen, dialogue and take action is invaluable.

Clémence

Great workshop, original in its mixed format with a very good complementarity. It encouraged me to practise connecting with my perceptions, sensations and feelings when talking to people close to me or colleagues.

Philippe

Following the workshop, I want to use the connections to my body to handle situations of crisis. I liked the quality of the content and teaching methods: it's a humanistic course of public interest.
