5 days

Breaking out of the duality between men/women & humans/nature (4/4)

Towards a better balance between men and women, humans and nature, for me, in my institution, in a territory… At the service of complementarity and dynamic interdependence.

Course aims:

To initiate processes of internal, social and ecological transition based on non-violence.

The aim is to identify and transform the mechanisms that create tension and direct or indirect violence. We seek to understand how diversity and inequality affect us by addressing four levels: our societies and natural environments, our local groups (teams, family, neighbourhood, etc.), our interpersonal relationships (work partners, couples, etc.) and our own inner selves.

  • Identifying and promoting mechanisms of equity.
  • Understanding and valuing cultural diversity in the broadest sense of the term.
  • Rediscovering the power within ourselves and our complementarity with others.

This is what the power of non-violence teaches us collectively.

Duration:

22 days over a year and a half.

Audience:

For decision-makers, for people in difficulty, for citizens… for every human being on their journey.
Whatever your background, your economic resources, your gender, your education, your ethnic and/or religious affiliations, your culture, your visible or invisible disability, your relationship with nature, your age, etc., you are welcome.

Content:

The course is based on the principles of non-violence and compassion promoted by NVC. It combines these with accessible analyses from the humanities (using a critical and applied approach), methods of collective intelligence and action, and a dash of collective and joyful creativity.

Teaching approach:

Teaching through experience and raising awareness: experimentation, individual and/or group debriefing, additional input. Experiences are based on examples provided by the group, with individual, pair or group exercises: practical physical and/or verbal exercises, role-playing, image theatre, forum theatre-CNV, etc.

Getting to know each other better: every Thursday evening, a festive evening is co-organised to share our cooking and our unlikely talents.

Co-facilitators, assistants, guests: for each course, people who are directly involved and/or specialised in different topics are invited to co-create parts of the programme.

My project… our project from A to Z: throughout the course, participants are invited to keep a logbook and, in each module, they revisit the progress of their project through exercises. This may be a new creation or simply a change of approach to an existing activity.

Testimonials

Very inspired by the method of conveying highly intellectual notions through a body-based practice.

Florent

A fine, humorous approach to serious subjects. Good balance between theory and practice, with lots of rich content. The experimental approach is not overly confrontational: a non-violent learning experience.

Aude

Thank you, I feel inspired by your posture: grounded, dynamic, firm and caring.

Anaïs

A rich, human and interesting course, where the instructor adapted to both collective and individual needs. Practical, dynamic content that kept me on my toes. A course that has an impact on the professional, the individual and the human in us all. Thank you so much!

Audrey

High-quality training and a highly competent instructor. It feels so good to take this kind of training, which should be a prerequisite for all managers. It needs to be infused into all our institutions. Many thanks for this breath of fresh air!
